Nice comment Tamara and good idea with the Shared Value Academy.

That it has taken so long for this lie (rich create wealth/job) to be challenged is a good illustration of what Goebbels said:

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."

I guess the farce of "trickle down" has finally become clear to those who thought they were benefiting.

And as with the Indian middle class (on corruption) or the Chinese middle class (on environment) or the Russian middle class (on basic rules of democracy), when the Western middle class gets off its butt, we will see change!

I enjoyed your article. Something that friends and neighbors been doing for a few years fits nicely into your thesis. We pool our money and buy in huge bulk directly from suppliers and enjoy prices far under retail. We also split the cost of many durable items and share them through a kind of checkout system. Lower costs, less clutter and waste... Works great if you know how. I just started a blog about it and I'm feeling a bit like an evangelist. :-)
